Vintage Traditional Danish Christmas Elves Decorations

Vintage Traditional Danish Christmas “Nisser” (Elves) in Wooden Clogs 

These are a charming, very traditional Christmas decoration in Denmark.

They are wearing traditional Danish costumes with hats and scarves made of wool (felt) and the clothes are mainly made of cotton.

They have traditional Danish wooden clogs and their legs are positionable (probably made of pipe cleaners).

Believed to be made in Denmark in the period 1950s-1980s.

These are sold as pairs of a boy and a girl in two sizes.

Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age as shown in the photos. The smaller girl is missing a heart design on the back of her dress and there’s just an old glue blob where it would have been.

The larger ones are approximately 20cm high and the children are approximately 15cm high.
