Delivery (Shipping) Details

We Offer Free Shipping in the UK

General

We specialise in glass, ceramics and other fragile and precious vintage goods so wrap our products extremely well and send our items by the carriers we consider to be the best.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 3-5 business days, lighting may take longer if it requires rewiring and plug connection.

We ship the vast majority of orders up to 2kg in weight by Royal Mail Tracked & Signed. Over that weight we try to use UPS or FedEx but may use another carrier to keep postage costs economic.

Within the UK there is the option to upgrade to First Class Delivery and, if this option is selected, we will aim to dispatch the order within 48 business hours of receiving the order but lighting may take slightly longer.

Business hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 UK time.

International Orders (EU customers please see below)

We can only send parcels by Royal Mail up to a maximum weight of 2kg and size where the length + width + height are a combined total maximum of 90cm. Parcels over this size will be sent by a parcel carrier such as UPS/Fedex and you may be charged local taxes and customs charges by the carrier.

If an item is urgent please contact us and we will advise of the time frames and additional cost. Most destinations can receive items within 5 business days.

If you order multiple items or larger items, the shipping automatically applied at checkout may not be accurate. In this instance please feel free to contact us for a custom shipping quote.

If we do not show as shipping to your country, please contact us and we may be able to provide a shipping quote.

Customs and Import Taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs

Orders to the EU - New rules on VAT from 1/7/21

EU Customers, we love you, we want to continue selling to you, we are a business run by an EU citizen. But unfortunately, the new EU rules on VAT/Sales Tax from 1/7/21 make selling to the EU non-viable for a very small business like ours.

We are too small to be VAT-registered in the UK, but the new rules mean that we would have to charge you your country's VAT rate and then pay an agent in the EU to submit this tax to the EU.

We will continue to sell to all our wonderful EU customers via Etsy because Etsy take care of the VAT paperwork https://www.etsy.com/shop/Scandiwegians

Orders to Canada

Items that, fully wrapped, weigh a maximum 2kg and fit into a box where the length + width + height is a maximum of 90cm will be sent by Royal Mail/Canada Post. Currently, these items do not attract import duty although the Canadian authorities could change this.

Larger and/or heavier items will be sent by UPS or FedEx and will be subject to import duties and a customs admin fee.
