Vintage Riihimaki Finnish Yellow Glass Vase 1970s

Beautiful glistening light honeyed gold coloured glass.

Hooped Finnish glass vase with cool mid century styling.

Model number 1516, designed by Tamara Aladin in 1973.  

Handmade by the Riihimaen glass works in southern Finland 1973-1976.  

Approximately 20cm tall and 8cm wide at its widest point.

Part of the Tulppaani (Tulip) series.  There were a few variants and this is probably the most sought after because of its funky, space age shape which is very evocative of the atomic era.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips or similar and only very minor signs of age.
