Vintage Riihimaki Finnish Yellow Glass Vase 1970s

This is a very rare model and, generally, a particularly nice example of Riihimaki glass due to its lustrous depth of colour.

Beautiful glistening honeyed gold coloured glass. This particular vase has a deeper intensity of colour than most Riihimaki in the amber yellow colourway.

Cool and very mid century hooped hourglass shape.

This rare model vase is called 'Carmen'.

Designed by Tamara Aladin in 1969 and in production in the period 1970-75.

Handmade at the Riihimaen glassworks in southern Finland.

20cm tall and 9cm wide at its widest point.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips or similar and only very minor signs of age.
