Mid Century Danish Teak-Lidded Ceramic Jar
Imprinted with “Sild” the Danish word for herring.
Pickled herring is a Scandinavian delicacy, traditionally served at celebratory meals.
Has a teak lid without a rubber seal (these can be easily bought if required).
Made by Knabstrup Pottery.
Made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Fully back stamped with its manufacturer’s details.
Very good vintage condition with some minor signs of age.
