Vintage Danish Blue Ceramic Table Lamp.
Medium/large fully glazed Danish studio pottery table lamp.
Has a smooth, glossy glaze in black/petrol blue with bright blue highlights.
This is a very rare and very beautiful colourway - the “black” is actually very dark petrol blue, but this is very hard to capture in the photos.
It is unmarked but we believe it to have been designed by Ernst Nilsson for Faxe Pottery.
Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age, just some minor scratches.
Approximately 31cm high, including the lamp holder, and 13cm wide at the base.
The price includes re-wiring with high quality, vintage style, Italian-made fabric cable, a new switch (if applicable) and a new plug. See below for details of your choices.
___________________________________________________________
Switches and plugs are available in black and white. Please state your preference.
Standard cable length is c1.8m from where the cable exits the lamp to the plug. Please let us know if you would like more (additional charge may apply) or less.
You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour. Our standard choices are: black, dark brown and dark blue (all lampholders) plus light blue, burnt orange and old gold (plastic lampholders only).
Additionally, you can choose any available cable colour as a special order item at a cost of £4 p/m from the choice here
There is the option to upgrade to a high quality British-made metal lampholder in a choice of beautiful nickel, brass, aged brass and bronze finishes. There are two types:
Traditional British B22 switched lampholder (no additional charge); or the stylish E27 lampholder at a cost of £15, representing the cost of the item. Generally, the B22 tends to suit smaller lamps.
Please purchase any upgrades to metal E27 and/or custom cable colour at checkout and state other choices either in the purchase notes or by email to claus@scandiwegians.com

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
