British 1970s White Maclamp Desk Lamp Retro Conran Design

Conran-designed British Maclamp 1970s Desk Light

High quality, beautiful and stylish, British-made desk lamp.

This is one of the older models made with metal base/shade and wood arm rather than plastic which was used in later models.

Designed by the iconic British designer Sir Terence Conran in the 1960s and made by Maclamp. The design was sold through Conran's Habitat shop.

Has been refurbished and rewired.

The shade is made of white enamel coated aluminium. The arm is made of wood. The weighted base is made of lacquered aluminium with a protective felt backing.

Made by Maclamp in the UK, in the 1970s.

Fully extended, with the aluminium shade at 90 degrees, the lamp is 55cm high. The shade is 12cm long, and 11cm at its widest point. The weighted base is c20cm wide. Weighs 1.25kg.

Very good fully working vintage condition with minor signs of age as shown in the photos, including some signs of age in the wood at the middle join as shown in a close up photo.

It has been fully refurbished and rewired with vintage style navy blue braided cable.

It takes a traditional British B22 bulb (not included).

Fitted with a new UK plug.
