Soholm Pottery Grey Family Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 993
Soholm Pottery Danish Grey Ceramic Table Lamp - Price is for 1 Lamp
Part of the highly sought after Du og Jeg (You and I) range designed by renowned designer, Svend Aage Holm Sorensen for Soholm in 1958.
Medium sized table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1950s/60s.
Features a matt grey glaze on a white base, with a vertical ribbed texture and a family image on one side.
The lamps are different shades of grey, one is lighter and more green toned. The darker lamp has a white top, whilst the lighter one’s is grey.
The darker lamp has the manufacturer's details and model number on its base.
18cm wide and 8cm deep. The ceramic part is 15cm high and the metal is 5cm high. The total height of the lamp including the Bakelite lamp holder is 30cm.
Excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age.
As this lamp hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Will be rewired with high quality Italian vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch. We will attempt to reuse the original lamp holder where practicable, but may replace it with a modern E27 fitting. If you buy two lamps we will ensure they have matching fittings.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
