Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic 1960s Table Lamp

Very rare medium-sized, fully glazed, handmade vintage Danish lamp.

Features an absolutely beautiful glaze with shimmering highlights in various shades of blue inlcuding an amazing 'oil on water' effect.

Has a glossy glaze in a warm currant shade of purple-brown with mottled amber highlights and a lightly rippled texture.

Features a stunning ring of shimmering powder blue which the lampshade will direct light on to.

The lower part has a geometric relief design with shimmering sea green highlights like oil on water.

Handmade in Bornholm, Denmark by Soholm Pottery in the 1960s/70s.

Has manufacturer's details and designer's mark etched on its base.

26cm high, including the lamp holder, and 9cm wide.

Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.

The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

Will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new lampholder and switch. If you buy two lamps we will ensure they have matching fittings.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.

* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
