Riihimaki Dark Blue Glass Bud/Stem Vase 1960s 1970s

Mid century rocket shaped vase in a beautiful deep, shimmering, greyish shade of Midnight Blue.

This is a very rare Riihimaki colour way, and sought after as it is so elegant and stylish, and strongly associated with Scandinavian style.

A stunning piece of high quality vintage art glass - a wonderful shape and colour.

Model number 1379, etched to its base.

Designed by Erkkitapio Siiroinen who joined Riihimaki in 1968.

Handmade in Finland at some point between 1968 and 1975.

20cm high and around 11cm wide at its widest point.

Very good vintage condition with no chips and some minor signs of age including a few small scratches including one on the neck as shown in the close up.
