Mid Century Orange Hooped Wood Table Lamp with Original Vintage Danish Lampshade 1970s

Large Vintage Orange Wood Table Lamp with Authentic Vintage Danish Lampshade - 50cm / 20” tall without the shade

This very tall hand-turned, vintage lamp, with a very mid century hooped design, is made of orange painted wood.

The lampshade is pleated and has a fabric coating with an abstract design in various orange tones.

We don’t know where the lamp was made but this style of wooden lamp was usually handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.

The authentic traditional Danish pleated lampshade was made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.

The lamp has been refurbished with new black fittings and vintage style orange cable.

Total height including the lampshade is 70cm.

The lamp base is 50cm high including the lamp holder and 15cm wide at its base.

The shade is 25 cm high and 50cm wide at the base.

Very good fully working vintage condition with only minor signs of age.

Rewired with vintage style orange braided fabric cable, a new black switch and Bakelite lamp holder.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.

* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
