Bengt Orup Johansfors Lyfa Blue Green Glass Table Lamp

This large, and very elegantly-shaped lamp, is also a very rare model - it's the only one we've ever seen.

Made of transparent glass which graduates from clear at the bottom, through greenish blue, to deep almost opaque blue at the top.

Part of the Tona series, designed by Bengt Orup for Johansfors in 1957.

A colloboration between Swedish art glass manufacturer, Johansfors, and Danish lighting company, Lyfa.

Has 'Lyfa' etched on its base as highlighted in the photos.

Features a brushed steel cap at the top.

Made in Denmark using handmade Swedish glass in the 1950s/60s.

Approximately 37cm high, including the lampholder, and 10cm wide at its widest point.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only minor signs of age, just a few light scratches.

Completely rewired and refurbished with dark blue braided cable, a new silver coloured lamp holder that goes beautifully with the original metal finish, and a new switch on the cable. Lampshade not included.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting.
