Hornsea Pottery Concept Latte Ceramic Table Lamp British English 1970s
Couldn't load pickup availability
Stylish Mid Century British Table Lamp in a quite rare shade of latte brown. Price is for 1 lamp but we have 2 available.
This design is usually attributed to Martin Hunt in 1976, as part of the prestigous Queensbury Hunt Ceramics Design Studio.
The Concept range of tableware was made between 1977 and 1991 but the lamps were made for a much more limited period and are quite rare.
Concept won a British Design Council award in 1977.
Made in England, probably by Hornsea Pottery in the 1970s/80s.
Fully refurbished with beautiful high quality, European-made fittings.
Approximately 19cm high, including the lampholder, and 14cm wide at its widest point.
Excellent fully working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.

Rewired with approximately 1.5m of vintage style Italian braided fabric cable in dark brown.
Has an English-made brass lampholder in a bronze finish. Note that the lampholder has a 'safer switch' meaning it will only function when a lightbulb is inserted.
It takes a B22 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
If you would like more details about choosing a lightbulb you can find them here: Which Lightbulb Should I Choose? Part 1 – Scandiwegians
Fitted with a new white UK plug.

If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass and glazing imperfections in ceramics, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
