Danish Mid Century Copper Ceiling Pendant Lamp Light. Price is for 1 lamp

Medium-sized 34cm wide solid hammered copper pendant lamp with a metal chain and ceiling rose/canopy.

Authentic, original, high quality vintage item.

Beautiful and stylish. Adds a warm cosy glow.

Made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.

These lamps were widely used in traditional Danish pubs and restaurants where they hung low over tables to create a cosy atmosphere.

Has been taken apart and refurbished (including being cleaned and lightly polished), and rewired.

Have a manufacturer's logo imprinted on the side of the pendant.

The chain is around 1 metre long, see note below regarding shortening the cable.

Approximately 34cm wide and 22cm high.

Excellent fully working vintage condition with a beautiful patina.

Fully refurbished and rewired in line with current electrical regulations with 1 metre of vintage style black braided cable.

Has been retro-fitted* to earth the lamp (see photo 8). Because of this, if you wish to shorten the cable you have 2 options:
1) ensure it is fitted by a suitably qualified person as they will need to re-connect the earthing mechanism after cutting the cable; or
2) attach the lamp 'the Scandinavian way' by using hooks to carry the cable across the ceiling or gather the cable slightly so that it is the desired length.

*an earth wire is present from the lamp holder conducting throughout the shade and canopy

Original metal ceiling canopy is included. One of these has a small notch cut out for the cable to go across the ceiling.

Take standard E27 lightbulbs (not included).

* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. A E26 lightbulb should fit but because it is 1mm smaller will need to be fully turned to ensure it makes contact with the fitting.
