Orange Mushroom Lamp - Rerfurbished and now fully working as follows:

• Lamp taken completely apart.
• Lamp construction checked and lamp found to be factory double-isolated - this means that it complies with current UK electrical safety standards and does not need earthing.
• Existing cable was damaged so lamp was rewired with white braided cable as selected by customer.
• Existing lampholder was cleaned up and re-used. The top part was broken so I replaced with a part I had in stock of similar age so it’s a good match.
• One additional isolator was added inside the existing lampholder as a safety enhancement.
• Existing switch was taken apart, cleaned up and lubricated for better functionality.
• New plug fitted as existing one was slightly damaged and didn’t meet the latest safety specifications.
• The lamp was cosmetically cleaned up.
• Please note it would have been quicker to replace the original lampholder and switch with new parts than to refurbish them but I prefer to use the nice, original parts where possible.
