In Denmark lighting plays an important role, not surprising given how few daylight hours they have there in December and January! So the Danes can be trusted to know a thing or two about lighting and to have produced an awful lot of lovely lamps!
It’s relatively rare in Scandinavia to have a central, high light source illuminating the whole room. Instead, they use mood and task lighting such as floor & table lamps and pendants hung low over dining tables & breakfast bars.
