Vintage Art Deco Danish Silver Plated Candle Holder

Stylish 2-pronged modernist Danish candleabra style candle holder.

On a square base made of a different metal, possibly bronze.

A rare and beautiful item, the use of mixed metal is particularly unusual and attractive.

We have only part-polished the silver as we enjoy the black patina but you can easily polish to a full bright silver finish if you prefer.

Made for dinner candles (not included).

Made in Denmark by Carl M Cohr. The use of the ‘FDG’ mark (Danish Silversmiths Guild) on its base indicates it was made in the period 1929-32 as that organisation only existed for those three years.

Has Cohr’s ‘Atla’ trademark and the Danish quality silver mark imprinted on its base.

Approximately 24cm long.

Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age including some small scratches, tarnish and wax residue.
