Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp

Medium/large lamp with a very beautiful glaze, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s

Features a glossy warm amber glaze with shimmering purple, yellow and light blue highlights.

The lower half of the lamp features a beautiful and striking textured design that resembles grass.

Model number 1040, designed by Svend Aage Jensen for Soholm Pottery.

Handmade in Bornholm, Denmark by Soholm in the 1960s/70s.

Has manufacturer’s details and model number etched on its base.

30cm high including the original bakelite lamp holder and 11cm wide at the base.

Excellent fully working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age. Note that the small red on the neck was just a bit of wax that I have now removed!

Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable retaining the original lamp holder if practicable.

We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
