Royal Copenhagen Tenera Purple Green Danish Ceramic Dish Scandinavian Pottery Vintage
Royal Copenhagen Tenera Fajance Pottery Dish - UK Sale Only
Reduced because it has taken a slight knock (see condition below) but we think it’s still a beautiful display piece and guarantee its structural integrity for 12 months.
Absolutely beautiful hand painted, glossy glazed purple, green and blue design.
Designed by Nils Thorsson and Marianne Johnson for Royal Copenhagen.
Part of Royal Copenhagen's popular Tenera Range, featuring hand-painted designs by Scandinavian women.
See the still from a BBC documentary about the history of micowave ovens!
The Tenera range was designed by Nils Thorsson from 1958 in colloboration with a group of female artists and designers.
It is fully back stamped with its manufacturer name, model number, designer's stamp, and painter's initials.
The backstamp shows it was produced between 1969 and 1974.
17cm wide and approximately 3cm deep.
In good vintage condition. From the front it looks perfect but from the base you can see a tiny nick and hairline crazing (highlighted in the photos). It’s still absolutely beautiful and has structural integrity. As a result we are selling it as a display piece only with a 12 month guarantee.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
