Large Val St Lambert Pink Crystal Glass Table Lamp 1930s 1940s

Vintage Pink Crystal Glass Val St Lambert Table Lamp - Price is for 1 but we have a matching pair available.

Tall, timeless and elegant, featuring pink cased crystal glass in a classic swirl design.

Features a brass cap and its original brass and porcelain lampholder with the unusual, still functional, pull chain on/off mechanism.

Made in Belgium, probably in the period 1930-1950. Note that the top rim of the lampholder is porcelain. In the 1950s this became Bakelite and in the 1960s the old metal lampholder was completely replaced by plastic.

Approximately 37cm high, including the original fully refurbished lampholder, and 14cm wide at its widest point.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only very minor signs of age.

Completely rewired and refurbished with ivory braided cable that complements the lamp beautifully.

Rewired with earthed cable in line with current UK electrical safety standards. Note that if you buy a vintage lamp that is not rewired, or comes directly from Europe, this is unlikely to be the case.

Fitted with approximately 1.8m of Italian-made fabric cable in a beautiful ivory colour.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

Please note that because it has its original 75+ year old fitting it does not take standard lampshades - you will need to use a shade that clips on the bulb, or simply a bare decorative bulb if you prefer.
