Soholm Pottery Danish Table Lamp 1960s/70s

Large and absolutely stunning, handmade ceramic Danish lamp.

This is a particularly large and beautifully glazed lamp.

Features a satin glazed, very slightly textured, espresso brown neck.

The lower part has a beautiful glossy mid blue-grey glaze featuring mottled darker blue and white, purple and warm amber highlights.

Designed by Einar Johansen for Soholm Stentoj (Pottery).

Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.

Has its manufacturer’s details, designer's mark and model number etched on its base.

33cm high including the white lamp holder and 15cm wide at the base.

Excellent fully working vintage condition. Has a few very minor manufacturing imperfections in the glaze as shown in the photos.

Rewired with vintage style brown braided fabric cable and a new switch and lamp holder.

We can fit a British, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).

** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
