Holmegaard Green Gulvvase (Floor Vase) Danish Glass Vase 1960s 1970s

This is the quite rare and sought-after green lined with white glass model.

Authentic, original, vintage Danish-design classic in very good condition.

Bright green cased (lined) with white opaline glass.

Designed by Otto Brauer in 1962 for Kastrup Holmegaard.

Made in Denmark in the period 1962-1980.

Measures approximately 31cm (12") high.

Excellent vintage condition. Has no chips and only minor signs of age, mainly a small scratch at the bottom as shown in the video and some scratches to the base.

Designed in 1962 by Otto Brauer based on a 1959 design by Per Lutken.  

The 'Floorvase' is probably Holmegaard's most famous product, and an icon of Mid Century Modern design. 

The Gulvvase was made in 5 sizes and originally produced in amber brown, cobalt blue, green, ruby and opal white.

All gulvvases were produced in the Fyens glassworks on the Danish island of Funen.

Gulvvases were produced by (Kastrup until 1965) Holmegaard between 1962 and 1980.
