Rewire of Italian Fornasetti Table Lamp

• Customer advised of a broken switch (not received) and requested a rewire.
• Lamp taken apart and inspected.
• Lamp was wired with black 2 core (unearthed) cable but as lampholder and lamp is all metal it must be earthed in line with UK electrical safety regulations.
• Original metal E27 lampholder found to be earthable and working so was cleaned up, straightened-out and re-fitted, more securely than previously.
• 3 core (earthed) braided fabric cable found to (just!) fit through the narrow central rod.
• Customer chose Dove Cotton c1.2m, which was ordered.
• Rewired with a new black switch and black UK plug.
• Existing strain relief at the base was missing its screw, a new one has been fitted.

Rewire cost: £45 + £5 switch and £8 cable = £58
