J&G Meakin 2 x Espresso Cups & Cake Plates

Beautiful design in shades of orange, bronze and black.

The design is called Inca and it was produced by J&G Meakin.

Small cups, 7cm high, suitable for espresso.

The plates are 18cm wide.

Made of stoneware.

Manufacturer’s details on base.

Made in Staffordshire, England in the 1960s/70.

Very good vintage condition with no chips and only minor signs of age such as crazing. It may also have small manufacturing flaws.

J&G Meakin were mass producers of budget stoneware in a vast array of colourful, fashionable designs. If often had minor manufacturing imperfections such as small areas of loss of finish to the stoneware and pattern.
