Holmegaard Danish Canada Snaps Glasses 1960s 1970s.  

Add a touch of Mid Century Glamour to your entertaining.

They were designed for snaps (in Denmark that's a strong spirit made from potatoes called Akvavit that is drunk at celebrations and family gatherings). They could also be used for Tequila or other shots. 

Set of four smoked glass shot glasses.

Designed as port or sherry glasses, they can also be used for large shots, spirits or liqueurs such as Baileys. 

8cm tall. 1oz.

Designed by Per Lutken in 1955. 

Handmade by Holmegaard in Denmark, probably in the 1960s or 1970s. 

The range is called Canada, and these were the smallest glasses in the range. 

Excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age.

Would make an excellent gift for a lover of Mid Century Danish design.
