Vintage Soholm Pottery Danish Table Lamp - 50cm / nearly 20" high

This lamp was made in 3 sizes indicated by the number (1, 2 or 3) after the dash in the model number. This is 1219-3 - the largest size this lamp was made in.

Huge, and absolutely stunning, scuptural brutalist design

Designed by sought after sculptor and designer, Haico Nietsche in the 1960s/70s.

Has a lightly textured beige satin glaze base with brown highlights.

Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.

Has model number, manufacturer's details and designer's marks on its base.

It will be rewired with high quality vintage style braided cable and the international plug of your choice.

50cm high including the lampholder, 30cm wide and 18cm deep.

Excellent near mint vintage condition with no chips and only very minor signs of age.

The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch, retaining its original lamp holder if practicable.

We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or North American** plug.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
