Vintage Teal Green Ceramic Table Lamp Pottery Turquoise Blue Emerald Bedside Vintage 1960s 1970s
Large Green Pottery Danish Green Ceramic Table Lamp. Lampshade available for additional cost (see below).
Large, heavy and solid vintage handmade ceramic table lamp in a rarely seen shade of teal / emerald green.
A very striking and unusual lamp in a rare and beautiful colour.
Features a glossy teal / emerald drip glaze over an espresso unglazed base. Has a rustic, rough finish to it.
It is not known who made the lamp and we can't see any markings on it but it is believed to be Danish studio pottery from the 1960s/70s.
The vintage Le Klint style floral clip on Danish lampshade can be purchased for an additional cost. It is 23cm high and 35cm wide at the bottom.
The lamp 30cm high, including the original Bakelite lamp holder, and 18cm wide at its base.
Very good fully working vintage condition with a small area of missing glaze at the base as shown in photo 2. The lampshade is in very good vintage condition with a few frays.
Rewired with vintage look black fabric cable retaining its original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug. We will send you the plug for the territory the order is sent to unless you advise otherwise.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
