Retro 1960s English Coffee Pot Staffordshire Pottery.
The design is a real beauty with an indian-influenced floral pattern in blue, green and purple including a lid in a lovely petrol blue which is reminiscent of the shade associated with Poole Pottery.
The design is highly evocative of its era - its just groovy!
Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and very little crazing. It has a small manufacturing imperfection on the spout as shown in a photo.
It is fully back-stamped with its manufacturing details.
24cm high and 10cm wide.
WH Grindley was founded by Mr Grindley in Staffordshire, England in 1890 and there was ceramic manufacturing under the Grindley name until 1978. Grindley specialised in hotel and restaurant ware rather ceramics for the home.
