Vintage Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Robert Bentsen 1960s 1970s
Large Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s 1970s
Lampshade not included
Very large brown studio pottery table lamp made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Features a satin mottled brown glazed upper and a rustic unglazed darker, espresso brown lower part.
Designed by Robert Bentsen. Has the designer’s name and 'Denmark' etched to its base.
Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent fully working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
40cm high, including the lamp holder, and 15cm wide at the base.
It has been rewired with a brown vintage look braided cable.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 ‘Radio Spiral’ lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
