Vintage Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Bedside Michael Andersen Scandinavian Lighting Retro
Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp.
Medium brown studio pottery table lamp handmade in Denmark in the 1960s.
Dark and light brown smooth matt-glazed pottery lamp. Mottled brown with lighter brown base.
Designed by Marianne Starck for Michael Anderson & Sons Ceramic Studio.
Has the manufacturer’s 3 fish logo and model number 6260 etched to its base plus its original sticker.
Handmade on the Baltic island of Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s.
Excellent vintage full working condition with only very minor signs of age.
29cm high, including the original lampholder, and 15cm wide at the base.
It has been rewired with a black vintage look braided cable. We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). The bulb in the photos is a vintage-look G95 LED Filament bulb.
*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller may need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
A note on lampshades. We sell our lamps without lampshades but they are all suitable for them. If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
