Vintage Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Bedside Denmark Scandinavian Lighting Retro Design
Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp. Lampshade not included.
Medium-sized, unusually shaped, brown and black vintage Danish studio pottery table lamp.
Features a glazed, slightly textured upper section in black mottled with brown and ivory. The lower section is satin glazed latte brown with mottled chocolate brown highlights.
It is not known who made it. Has the designer’s details etched to its base but they are not recognised. Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
19cm high, including the original white lamp holder, and 13cm wide at its widest point.
Full working condition. It has been rewired with a black vintage look braided cable. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 ‘Radio Spiral’ lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
