Vintage Hornsea Pottery Muramic Trinket Dish Large Retro 1970s
Vintage Hornsea Pottery Muramic Trinket Dish Retro 1970s
Designed by Hornsea's chief designer, John Clappison and made in East Yorkshire, England in 1977.
This round ceramic dish has a smooth, unfinished biscuit finish with a wonderful glossy patterned glazed inner base.
These Muramic dishes are beautiful pieces that are a joy both to look at and to hold. If the design catches your eye then you will most definitely not be disappointed when you have the real thing! It can be used as a trinket dish (for keys, jewellery etc), as bathroom storage, as a soap dish, a candle holder or as a serving dish for olives, tapas etc.
15cm wide, the largest size these dishes were made in.
Good vintage condition with minor signs of age/use and a small manufacturing under the glazing on rim.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. ______________________________________________________________________________________
