Vintage Glass Dish Iittala Nuutajarvi Kastehelmi Oiva Toikka 1960s 1970s
Vintage Iittala Turquoise Glass Trinket Dish Finnish 1960s
Can be used as a trinket dish or candle holder.
Ideal to keep items such as keys or rings.
Beautiful shade of teal or turquoise blue.
Part of the Kastehelmi range designed by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajarvi (now Iittala) in the 1960s.
Made in Finland in the 1960s/70s.
15cm wide and 2.5cm deep.
Good vintage condition. Has a few slivers missing from the rim which we have shown in the photos.
Unfortunately, this style of dish seems very prone to getting little chips but they are not particularly visible and do not detract from it being a beautiful item.
Nuutajarvi was formed in Finland in 1793 and employed some of the greats of Finnish design, most notably the great Kaj Franck. It merged with Iittala in 1988 and Nuutajarvi, designs including Kastehelmi, are now sold under the Iittala brand.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
