Vintage Emerald Green Ceramic Table Lamp Pottery Turquoise Jade Teal 1960s 1970s
Vintage Green Pottery Danish Green Ceramic Table Lamp
Very large, heavy and solid vintage handmade ceramic table lamp in a rarely seen shade of teal / emerald green.
A very striking and unusual large lamp in a rare and beautiful colour.
Features a smooth glossy teal / emerald drip glaze over a rustic espresso unglazed base.
It is not known who made the lamp and we can't see any markings on it but it is believed to be Danish studio pottery from the 1960s/70s.
It came with vintage Danish electrical fittings, which have been retained.
The lamp is 36cm high, including the original Bakelite lamp holder, and 14cm wide at its base.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
The lampshade is not included.
Rewired, retaining its original switch and Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug. We will send you the plug for the territory the order is sent to unless you advise otherwise.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected but it will not have any chips or similar unless stated. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
