Vintage Danish Pottery Blue Haresfur Ceramic Candle Holder 1960s 1970s
Vintage Blue Haresfur Danish Ceramic Candle Holder - price is for 1 candle stick
Feature satin mid blue haresfur glaze with lighter blue highlights.
Has a smooth unglazed espresso brown band at its base.
Haresfur is a traditional Danish mottled satin glaze.
We are uncertain who made this. It was possibly made by Palshus although it doesn’t have the stamp their items usually do. There appears to be Palshus signed on the base.
The mid blue haresfur glaze is a well known Palshus colour and style and are both quite unusual for Danish mid century ceramics.
Have manufacturer’s name and 'Danmark' written on the base.
Made in Denmark, probably in the 1960s/70s.
It takes a candle with a width of approximately 2.5cm.
9cm high and 9cm wide at the rim.
Very good condition with only very minor signs of age.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
