Vintage British Yellow Maclamp Desk Lamp 1970s Office Retro Workshop Style Design
Vintage British Maclamp Yellow Desk Lamp - high quality 1970s/80s office light
High quality, beautiful and stylish, British-made yellow desk lamp.
This Maclamp is in particularly good condition.
Designed by the iconic British designer Sir Terence Conran in the 1960s and made by Maclamp. The design was sold through Conran's Habitat shop.
The shade is made of enamel coated aluminium. The base is made of lacquered plastic. The arm is made of wood effect plastic.
Has a weighted iron base.
Has been completely taken apart and thoroughly refurbished.
Made by Maclamp in the UK, in the 1970s/80s.
Fully extended, with the aluminium shade at 90 degrees, the lamp is 55cm high. The shade is 12cm long, excluding the brown Bakelite lamp holder, and 11cm at its widest point. The weighted base is c20cm wide. Weighs 1.25kg.
Excellent fully working vintage condition with only minor signs of age as shown in the photos.
It has been fully refurbished and rewired with vintage look black braided cable, retaining the original Bakelite switched lamp holder.
We can fit a UK/Irish, European, Aus/NZ plug or American* plug.
It takes a traditional British B22 bulb (not included).
If purchased outside of the UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand we will provide a B22>E27/6 adapter. Please note that the adapter will make the light bulb project further and, unless the bulb is short (like a 'golf ball' shape), it will protrude further than the shade.
Customers in the EU should be able to purchase B22 light bulbs online from the UK.
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
