Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp
Medium-sized brown and blue studio pottery table lamp made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Features a rustic/industrial espresso brown satin glaze with a striking blue textured relief geometric pattern.
The blue square relief designs make a stunning style statement!
Designed by Bjorn Pottery. Has the manufacturer’s details etched to its base.
Handmade in Denmark, probably in the 1960s/70s.
Very good vintage condition with only very minor signs of age. There a smalll areas without glaze all over the lamp which are considered to be a feature of the design.
32cm high, including the original black Bakelite lamp holder, and 12cm wide at the base.
Full working condition. It has been rewired with brown vintage look braided cable. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 ‘Radio Spiral’ lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
