Vintage Axella Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Mette Løkke Stiil 1960s 1970s
Axella Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s 1970s
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold. This doesn’t affect your statutory right of return.
Large handmade 1960s/70s Danish ceramic lamp.
The neck has a rustic textured satin ivory white glaze.
The base is a rustic unglazed chocolate brown with a glazed ivory design.
Designed by Danish ceramicist Mette Løkke Stiil.
Handmade in Denmark by Axella Pottery, probably in the 1970s.
Has its manufacturer’s and designer's details etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable. Please let us know which colour you would like. Dark brown, burnt orange and black will all look good with this lamp.
It is 32cm high including the original Bakelite lamp holder and 13cm wide at the base.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
There may also be slight differences in colour depending on the device the product is viewed on.
