Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s
Very large, and very rare lamp - it's the first one of this model we've ever seen.
Soholm lamps of this size are rare, and to find one with such a beautiful glaze is very special.
Features a glossy lavender purple and currant brown glaze.
Has a mottled amber and shimmering powder blue highlights and bands of geometric textured design.
Note the shimmering glaze changes with the light and we have tried to show this in the photos.
The neck, which will be covered by the lampshade, has an unglazed biscuit finish.
Model 3117. Handmade in Bornholm, Denmark by Soholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and designer's mark etched on its base.
38cm high, including the lamp holder, and 11cm wide.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

Will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable. We will attempt to reuse the original lamp holder where practicable, but may replace it with a modern E27 fitting. If you buy two lamps we will ensure they have matching fittings.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
