Soholm Stentoj Pottery Danish Olive Khaki Green Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s Vintage Retro Scandinavian
Small Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic 1960s Table Lamp
Features a glossy olive green glaze with dark amber and pale green highlights and a ‘tiger stripe’ design.
Designed by Arne Finne and Noomi Backhausen. Signed ‘AN’.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Pottery on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s. Has artists initials and model number etched on its base.
Very good full working vintage condition with only minor signs of age.
It is 18cm high including the original lampholder and 10cm wide at its base.
It has been fully refurbished with a brown vintage look braided cable. We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
