Soholm Stentoj Pottery Blue Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Bedside Light Retro Design
Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp
Small blue studio pottery table lamp handmade in Denmark in the 1960s.
Matt glazed finely textured espresso brown neck and blue smooth glossy base with brown highlights.
Designed by Einar Johansen for Soholm Pottery Studio. Has the manufacturer’s name and model number 1037 etched to its base.
Handmade on the Baltic island of Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s.
Excellent vintage fully working condition.
20cm high, including the original lamp holder, and 13cm wide at the base.
It has been rewired with a vintage style navy blue braided cable.
It has a British/Irish plug but we can fit a European*, Australian/NZ or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
