Soholm Pottery Blue Danish Table Lamp 1960s/70s
Tall, handmade ceramic lamp in a beautiful mid blue, which is a very rare Soholm glaze.
Has a satin mid blue glaze with mottled darker blue and greenish highlights.
Features an unusual and very elegant scalloped base.
Model number 940, designed by Einar Johansen for Soholm Stentoj.
Handmade in Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Has its manufacturer’s details, designer's mark and model number etched on its base.
34cm high including the original white lamp holder and 10cm wide at the base.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

Will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder if practicable.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or North American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected, but unless otherwise stated, there will be no chips or similar damage.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
