Soholm Pottery Turquoise Danish Table Lamp 1092 1960s Retro Scandinavian Light
Soholm Pottery Danish Turquoise Blue Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold. This doesn’t affect your statutory right of return.
Large handmade 1960s/70s Danish ceramic lamp.
Has a rustic/unglazed dark sand/biscuit coloured neck.
The lower, square part has a glossy ivory white glaze with subtle mottled creamy pale yellow highlights.
Two of the four sides have protruding chunky rectangles of stunning crackle glazed turquoise glass-like glaze.
Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has its manufacturer’s details, and model number etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable. Please let us know which colour you would like, dark brown, dark blue and black will look good with this lamp.
It is 35cm high including the vintage Bakelite lamp holder, and 12cm by 10cm wide at the base.
Very good fully working vintage condition.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
There may also be slight differences in colour depending on the device the product is viewed on.
