Small Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic 1960s Table Lamp

Features a glossy grey, brown and green glaze in a striped design. with light blue highlights. Halfway down the lamp is a textured relief design.

Designed by Arne Finne and Noomi Backhausen. Signed ‘AN’.

Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Pottery on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.

Has manufacturer’s details, artists initials and model number etched on its base.

Very good full working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.

It is 20cm high including the lampholder (which will be cleaned up or replaced) and 10cm wide at its base.

Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

It will be rewired with Italian-made vintage style braided cable and a new switch. The original lamp holder will either be cleaned up or replaced.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Australian/NZ or American plug.

It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.

There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.

Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
