Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp.
Medium sized petrol blue (grey blue with a green tinge) studio pottery table lamp.
Handmade by a Soholm in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Glossy petrol blue glaze with textured relief design.
Model 1083 designed by Einar Johansen.
Made by Soholm Pottery on the Baltic island of Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent vintage fully working condition.
25cm high, including the original lamp holder, and 12cm wide at the base.
It will be rewired with a vintage style black braided cable, using the original vintage lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Australian/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
