Soholm Danish Blue Ceramic Bamboo Vase 1960s

Medium sized ceramic vase, handmade in Denmark.

Has a beautiful gloss light/mid blue glaze with darker blue, white and other glazed highlights.

Features a textured relief bamboo design.

Model number 3180, designed by Maria Philippi.

Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.

Has manufacturer’s details, designer’s initials, and model number etched on its base.

19cm high and 10cm wide.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips.

Maria Philippi was a German ceramicist who worked at Soholm in the period 1962-4.
