Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
Small, rare, unusual and beautiful light blue lamp
Handmade by Soholm in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a glossy light blue glaze with mottled light purple, white and yellow highlights.
The lower half of the lamp is in an unusual octagonal shape.
Model number 1052, designed by Einar Johansen for Soholm Stentoj (Pottery).
Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and model number 1052 etched on its base.
26cm high including the original white Bakelite lampholder. 10cm wide at the base.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder and switch.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using LED/energy saving lightbulbs. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller you will need to turn the bulb fully to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with an Uno style ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
