Soholm Pottery Danish Blue Ceramic Table Lamp
Large blue ceramic table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a stunning glossy dark blue glaze with light blue and amber highlights with a geometric textured relief design.
The overall effect of the highlights is that colour of the glaze looks slightly purple under sunlight.
Model number 1034, designed by Einar Johansen.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has its manufacturer's details, designer’s mark, and model number etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable
33cm high including the original Bakelite lampholder, and 10cm wide at its base.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch, retaining its original lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
