Soholm Pottery Petrol Blue Danish Table Lamp 1082 Vintage 1960s Retro Scandinavian Light
Soholm Pottery Danish Petrol Blue Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Small blue ceramic table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a glossy petrol blue glaze with subtle lighter and darker blue hightlights.
Model number 1082, designed by Einar Johansen.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details, designer's mark, and model number etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable. Please let us know which colour you would like, dark blue, orange and black will all look particularly good with this lamp.
23cm high including the lamp holder and 12cm wide at its widest part.
Very good vintage condition with some minor signs of age as shown in the photos.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable. Note that the lamp holder will be replaced with an E27 fitting that takes a standard modern lampshade.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
