Soholm Pottery Large Blue Teak Danish Table Lamp 1071 Vintage 1960s Retro Scandinavian Light 2
Soholm Pottery Danish Blue Table Lamp with a Teak Wood Neck
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
This is a very large and rare lamp which is one of the most sought after Soholm designs in Denmark.
Very large bright blue ceramic table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a stunning glossy bright mid blue glaze with pale yellow, light blue and amber highlights.
Has an unusual square shape and a teak wood neck.
Model number 1071.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and model number etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable
42cm high including the lampholder and 12cm wide at its base, 15cm wide at the diagonal measurement.
Excellent near mint vintage condition. Has a small manufacturing imperfection on the base which is shown in photo 8 and doesn’t show when the lamp is in use.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch, retaining its original lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
